Lauren and Corey got engaged on New Year’s Eve at the outdoor ice rink at PPG Place. He faked an injury while skating to get down on his knees to propose. She may or may not have noticed that he was down and might have kept skating. Totally cute story and a beautiful couple.
These two braved a very chilly day to walk around the campus at the University of Pittsburgh and Schenley park with me.

Jack, their adorable black lab, made an appearance too! Thanks to Kelly, Corey’s sister, for helping Jack be on his best behavior.

I’m so excited to see Lauren as a bride. When you have a gorgeous lady and a smashing dress, the end results can only be smashingly gorgeous.
Corey, you’re great too.

I am blessed to have two beautiful and pregnant sister-in-laws.
With the trees rapidly changing colors, I convinced one of them to hang out with me and my camera for a little while at Hartwood Acres.

Can’t wait to meet baby Reese!

On this day, I had the perfect light and the perfect mother and child in front of my lens.

More to come…

Oh how I love engagement sessions!
A couple totally in love + the city + a few hours = happy photographer.
Stephanie and Josh met up with me at their alma mater, Point Park University. They were easy going, fun, and up for anything. Here are some of my favorites from their session:

Haha! This was Josh’s idea. Although, I can’t say I wasn’t thinking the same thing.

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Brian and Jen are awesome people … and now, awesome parents.

Here are some images from Mikayla’s day in front of the camera.

Love her little pouty lips.

A little milk break.

Being a model is exhausting.

Congratulations on your pretty little girl, Brian and Jen!

The cold winter months in Pittsburgh always make me appreciate indoor portrait shoots (although besides yesterday, this winter has been rather mild). I’ve been doing quite a bit of boudoir sessions at my new studio down in the Strip District but you probably won’t see any posts about those.
Another indoor session that I love is baby portraits! This past December, my brand new niece decided to grace us with her presence. I stopped by for a visit and did a quick mini session with her.

Pretty girls run in this family (and no, I’m not tooting my own horn since this is from my husband’s side of the family teehee). This is her big sister.

Last month, I attended a conference for photographers out in San Diego (more on that later). While I was out there, I had the chance to attend a workshop taught by the amazing Laura Parker of Laura Parker Photography. Here is a quick preview from the workshop:

Just adored these two!

This is Parker.

She will be turning 1 soon!

A lot has happened in one year. She learned to giggle, roll over, sit, and crawl (among many other things)!

She practices giggling quite often.

Love how she’s feeling the wind in her hair!

She’s either mad at me here for taking so many pictures or she’s working on her “blue-steel”.

A little tummy-time with mommy and daddy. Then, after the shoot, Parker changed into more comfortable clothes.

Good call… I wanted to do the same. Happy 1st birthday Parker. Hugs and kisses!
